STOP DENYING disability compensation! Include any/all autoimmune & neurological diseases/disorder as presumptive illness.
Assume Veteran's service in Theater of Operations (SWA) is cause of any/all autoimmune/neurological disease/disorders. Assume any display of symptoms during/after Gulf War service is connected/caused/is a result of sevice in SWA & compensate. Don't wait to admit/compensate Vets like those who are sick/dying due to Agent Orange.

I volunteered for a Gulf War Syndrome study, conducted by the VA in 2003. To qualify I had to be micoplasma positive, and have 4 out of 5 of the most common symptoms of GWS. I had the insomnia, fatigue, joint pain, and short term memory loss. The VA would give me medicine and check me every 90 days. At the end of a year, I was told I was given a placebo and that doxcicycline would be provided. The medicine had side effects, and when I tried to contact the Gulf War study team I was told "those people left". I was told by the doctor who conducted the study that it would not be a good idea for me to give blood because of the micoplasma presence in my blood. I put in for Combat Related Special Compensation, and was denied. The reason I was told is, "Gulf War Syndrome is not a recognized war related condition". Am I the only one thats been kicked in the teeth like this? Claims says one thing, yet a VA doctor says another. I have lost faith in the system.

It has now been 21 years and VA now wants to hear our comments? I have noticed on many Vet pages the number of deferred Gulf War claims. This can't be due to improperly filled out paperwork, which only means group discrimenation. How can a system such as the Veterans Administration do this to it's own. This is not what Persident Lincold had formulated then for now. The only ones that control this at this time is the present VA Administration. Shame on you Mr. Gingrich and Sec. Shinseki, one saving is I didn't have to serve under ether of you in combat!

Attention TASK FORCE This message is for you. Veterans seek treatment for conditions told nothing is wrong with us even if we are sick. Often told idiopathic or may be viral. Let me set the record straight I was in excellent physical condition before my military service in Gulf. Yes I could do it all run, push up, setups anything... overall well rounded solider.
And for those who wonder yes I had High Pt scores consistently 295 above that is when the test were structured differently . An example someone in their 20'sr had to run less than 12 min in run to get 100 points in that area .
I have 9 siblings who have minor health problems and out of everyone I was always the healthiest as a child and adult until my military service. By the way I also one of few whom took active interest in staying healthy. Now fast forward today i have chronic health issues with no comorbidities except those after my military service. Stark contrast from then to know. Let me list a few conditions cardiac, gastrointestinal, neurological, and musculoskeletal. All this begin at a young age with no history of smoking, drinking or drug use. So let me tell you people first hand after I became ill enough to be hospitalized several times nearly dieing would VHA even believe I had a problem. Then for them to only tell me they don't know why. Do you think this is good enough evidence for VBA acknowledge GWI exist with me? No it was not even if had many years of chroncity some even presumptive conditions.I think not since I am only service connected for one condition so far.And must wait until someone follows the law and regulations properly and get fair claim adjudication. But let me tell you how my life has been since this GW illness hit me. My quality of life suffers significantly not only did I lose my home because I could not work but everything I owned. Do you think anybody cares? What is the purpose of these 30 day periods are you actually going to do something to help veterans? Why don't you go to the VBA regional offices and get them to follow the presumptive rules for GWI the training letters and the fast letters. Instead delay delay delay and make veteran appeal right. Yes you can appeal what about all those years your living in poverty waiting for someone to put the pieces of the puzzle together while your children go without. Yes VA pays back pay how in the hell does that help when your child has birthday or Christmas time is here. The back pay will not make us better, compensation years latter will not get our homes back. The list goes on and on. That is why I call all this smoke and mirrors. Do something for us please. I have always been patriotic but this foolishness with claims process is ridiculous. I can be reached at us_vet@yahoo.com if you like specifics and some additional suggestions.

I gave up. I got tired of being told that it was all in my head and that oil well fires smoke, crude oil contact was good for you!
My appointment would be for 9am, I would be told the doctor was running behind and wait, my name would be called soon. At 4pm I would be told the doctor has left for the day and come back tomorrow and I will be seen first.
I would go back the next day as soon as it opened and would sit for hours. I finally got to see the doctor who told me "there is nothing wrong with you" NEXT...

Veterans with ALS continue to struggle with VA care or benefits. Most of us will be dead in 3-5 years and quickly lose our ability to speak/comunicate effectively. Final Rule 2900-AN60 still sits at OMB while vets are being rated at less than 100 percent. The Family Caregiver Program still excludes vets with ALS. Many/Most VA hospitals are still treating vets with ALS thru general care while those same vets are attending ALS cliinics using MEDICARE or paying out of pocket

Gary Matsumoto spelled it all out in his research book on the anthrax vaccines titled Vaccine A. Pam Asa sold her anti-squalene to the govt under pressure, making an educated guess here. Its beyond obvious autoimmune disease is caused by military service and experimental vaccines. Of course, it could have been KGB sabotage at the point of manufacture ... do they ever really verify who their employees are? Its like trying to tell the difference between a Mexican and an Iranian vs an American and a Russian. Looks are similar. Pay us. 100%. Tell the People to shut up just like Congress did with the Health Care Reform Law.

I have had numbness in my arms, hands, feet, and legs among other neurological issues since my return. I also have back and shoulder injuries/pain to the point I can hardly move and am in constant pain so what do they do give me pain meds to get addicted to after all that is easier than the VA admitting I have major health problems since returning, I have been fighting for over nineteen years I started seeing the VA when I returned and doctors while I was still in country. I have lost all faith in my Government/VA and wonder why I served so long? I had no second thoughts of going to War and fighting I would have rethought that if I would have known the VA was not going to take care of me when I returned. I agree the VA wants you to give up so they do not have to pay you for the injuries and unexplained illness you received while protecting your country.

I think it is outrageous that Veteran of Desert Storm must go through all the paperwork required. It has been 20 years now, I have arithis so bad that I can barely walk and drive yet I still await compensation. The nerve pills were not FDA regulated so can anyone really connect illness' to service.

My claim has been turn down for 16 years because i served in southwest asia and i am being told i needed to have served in south east asia even though the war was in southwest not south east its all a big game i think they want us to give up or just go somewhere and die.

read all sections of this posting to include comments. see gadolinium poisoning. see fda.gov for same, metal injected for MRI (magnets need metal) but was originally for film development. Kodak? now injected into humans, search TC 99, see where that comes from. US should be ashamed of itself. I'm not proud to be an American. See what they've done to us, to include civilians, children, etc. See human experimentation. Radiation etc. VA says they are paying on Agent Orange. go to va.gov
