Gulf war vets need to find a way to bind together to get what we are due from our government
Gulf war vets must find a way to get together and fight this together.
The only way to win this fight is as a unit. We need to form a group for all gulf war vets and fight this with the same devotion as we fought for our country

It’s been 20+ years and we’re still being told what we did don’t matter. Now that Iraq and Afghanistan veterans command the spotlight, we have become forgotten and disposable veterans as far as the VA is concerned. When outgoing healthy service members returned from the Gulf War with unexplained illnesses including PTSD, the VA did nothing to acknowledge the growing number of veterans getting sicker over the years and even question the cause of those who died mysteriously. I, like many of you suffer from memory loss, joint and muscle problems, gastrointestinal issues, sleep deprivation and a host of other problems that we simply learn to cope with but didn’t initially make the connection with our service in the Gulf. It wasn’t until I heard of other GW veterans suffering the same or similar symptoms that the realization hit me that we can’t all be liars and pretenders. All this time has passed and I can barely remember my day to day and now the VA wants me to not only remember but provide proof of doctors, hospitals, times and dates of all of my illnesses over the past 20 years. C’mon, get real and stop playing the flavor of the moment veteran and give all veterans what they are due. GWVI is real and have been for 20+ years. Is the VA simply waiting for us all to die off or just stop complaining?

We are the forgotten generation of Gulf War Deployed Veterans, NonDeployed Gulf War Era Veterans, Operation Enduring Freedom/Operation Iraqi Freedom Veterans, and family members that are suffering with illnesses defined by Gulf War Illness (GWI).
We collectively see areas for immediate change:
• Transparency from all agencies involved in the Gulf War Illness
• All GWI research findings be declassified and shared with the public
• NonDeployed Gulf War Era Veterans need inclusion in presumption laws/research/treament
• Registry/Network for Ill Gulf War Era Veterans pre 9/11 through current conflict or until the war is declared closed by Congress
• Train VA practitioners to identify GWI
• All outside medical diagnoses and nexus letters should carry more consideration than the C&P exams
• FAST TRACK on claims and appeals with medically trained raters from 3rd party
• Uphold the benefit of a doubt clause and stop ignoring Part B of the unemployability regulation
• Repeal the quota system within the claims process
• Funded research into alternative medicine and its treatments
• Medical marijuana research funding for GWI treatment
• Financial assistance given to veterans awaiting claims decisions to help prevent the financial devastation that results from waiting 2-10 years for decisionsImprove and apply lessons learned from past practices and policies that can improve today’s programs and services supporting all Gulf War Era Veterans. We stand together in solidarity with all the lives lost due to death and disability.

As a gulf war vet and Iraq Vet I was diagnosed with Antiphophlid sydrome which I never had before the anthrax shots or the Iraq war. No one in my family has it nor have I ever heard of it. I did read a article about a marine vet who has the same syndrome and was said to have come from the anthrax shots. Doing my studies I have found that these shots can cause numerous problems with veterans and military personel who have gotten these shots. I was diagnosed after the 4series and never got the last 2 because of this. Why must we veterans suffer after we have put our lives in harms way to protect our country. Our Government owes us for are sacrifices. lets band together and fight. HOOAH!!!

As a Gulf war vet many of my illness are evident after being deployed to Desert Storm. Many of the leaders really don't care, but if they can go back to the Viet Nam vets then we deserve the same all of us were serving our country.

Senator Reigle, Rockeffeller tried to drive the issue in Congress - unfortunately Congress wasn't interested back then and is less interested now.
Our gov't isn't ready for the new warfare paradigm -

As Navy veteran that deployed to Desert Shield and Storm I should not have gotten sick if the government was telling the truth about Gulf War Illness. Unfortunately I did get sick and the government continues to deny this and hides behind laws to prevent any accountablity for wrongful actions to deny me disablity compensation. I have posted on the web many of my skin pictures to show the world that more veterans than just the ones in the desert got sick. I fight with chornic pain constantly, headaches, stomach issuse, memory problems and much much more. If they government told the truth about Gulf War Illness then maybe something could be done about it but they do not.

I I WORK WITH pdd,vOC rEHAB AS WELL AS DISABILITY AND SURVIVOR CLAIMS AT A nAVAL sTATION. i AM A VOLUNTEER RETIRED MILITARY WITH A MS IN ADULT ED. WHY CANT WE SEE? mANY OF THE KIDS COMING BACK ARE A MENTAL WRECK,CAUSED BY WAR YES OR ASSAULTS AND THEY WANT TO REBUILD BUT WE DO NOT HELP THEM ENOUGH. PAY THEM SO THEY CAN TAKE CARE OF THEIR FAMILIES, THIS WILL REDUCE SOME OF THE PTSD EFFECT. GET THEM INTO REAL COUNSELLING, A REAL VOCREHAB PROGRAM AND MOST OF ALL LOOK AT THEIR LUNGS FINE SILICON IS EMBEDDED AS A RESULTS OF THE DESERT LOOK AT THEIR EXPERIENCE WITH A MEDIEVAL CULTURE WHO DOESNT CARE WHO WE ARE. dOCTORS, TRY THIS GET A BUCKET OF SAND PUT YOUR HAND I N IT AND THEN REMOVE IT. WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE? I SEE PTSD EVERYDAY AS WELL AS SERIOUS LUNG ISWUES WHERE DID I LEARN THIS, MY FRIENDS I WAS INBEDDED WITH THE MINISTER OF DEFENSE AND AVIATION ,SAUDI ARABIA WE HAVE MUCH TO LEARN AND IT IS UP TO US TO HELP THESE KIDS COMING BACVK NOW ANYWAY WE CAN NOT BY A PSYCHAIATRISTS RU;LE BOOK BUT BY COMPASSION,CARING AND GRATITUDE AND LET THEM KNOW IT BY DOING RATHER THAN WORDS.
