I beleive VA doctors don't have time to read all the reports that come out about gulf war illness. I think there should be a representative from each VA to listen on the phone to the RAC meetings and then share with other staff in training. The reports that comes from the researchers that talk at the RAC meetings should be sent to each of these reps and a book be made and number each one. Every medical doctor and nurse should be required to read and initial each number so they are up to date with the latest research. It isn't that hard. We in army aviation were required to do that. It can be done and should be done. The new person hired at the VA Hqs. for GWI could be the person responsible for making this happen. Or there could be video teleconferencing to each facility and the book be made or a videotape could be sent out and all required to watch it and sign off. If it is not done then they shouldn't receive there pay check. It is part of the job. They serve Veterans and should know what is happening to us!

VA doctors are not educated and dont read the VA's own material much less the VARACGWI Reports or reports of research done that proves the point. Va needs to do audiovisual reports on the VA website on gulf war illnesses. VA also needs to implement at each VA hospital and clinic a gulf war veteran task force and have meetings monthly with the medical staff and VAROs!!!!

I was sick and went in to see dr methner in the fort worth tx clinic and he showed me his schedule and said he was to busy to see me and waved bye. I went to file a complaint and nothing was ever done i had to ask to see a different dr. This just show what some of the doctors think of us vets

How about having 13 of 18 trigger points for an illness (only need 8 for compensation rating) and doctor says "Yes, you have 13 of the 18 trigger points, but I don't know if you have illness. If only 8 trigger points deems SC for illness, why is doctor making rating decision of the RO? Typical VA less than qualified doctor not biting the hand that feeds him.

Exactly, if the doctor publicly states that he/she does not believe in Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, then gulf war vets should not be assigned to that doc.
I understand you cannot change the docs beliefs, but why waste the vets time, and the docs time?
