I too am a Gulf vet 90-91 was a medic with the 41st attached to the 24th I.D. and ended up in the Khamisiyah area. Came home with the nausea, vomiting , diarrhea could drop 15-20 pounds in a 24 hour period. was diagnosed in 1994 with diabetes .And eventually with pancreatic dysfunction. My primary care provider at the VA started me on enzymes and it greatly helps the symptoms . He also wrote a support letter stating had the condition been treated earlier the diabetes more than likely would not have developed. I wear an insulin pump & constant glucose monitor due to severe sugar level swings . Of course the VA strongly fights against my claim and his support letter. Am looking for other Brothers & Sisters who are suffering the same denials .
