    To all make sure you have a diagnosis of type 2 diabetes not type 1 juvenile/ Also have back pain joint pain nerve pain etc. Please get Docs opinion.

    Norman,
    Please keep fighting! Use VSOs. To all claim a NOD with VA once original claim is denied!
    Find a Doc who will help out DBQs etc. We are being ignored! Also once again contact your local elected politicians! They often will help out when others fail! I saw it all as well as yall.

    Hi Desert Storm / Shield Vets,

    Sorry I have been gone a while ,family issues.
    Get enrolled with VA Health , VA.gov website, then enroll with e benefits and file claims there!
    You will see a link for DBQs, explore, take those forms to VA health or private health provider and upload on ebenefits!

    Times are a changing, either use a VSO or ebenefits now! You will see the link at the bottom of VA . gov! We to are a dyeing breed, please pass on! Don't forget to contact your local politician's also! Please help yourself and your family!

    Steve,

    Get enrolled with VA and get Doctors opinions! No one knows what we went thru, soon last of a breed!
    Did you do a desert Storm / shield environmental exam at VA if not please get one!
    Yes it can be passed down. Help yourself and family do above!
    Also get VFW and or American legion VSOs involved!

    An Old !SG Retired served with 3 ACR there!

    To all my comrades, please see a VSO and do not give up the fight, file a NOD and then an appeal if you do not like the statement on the case from VA!!!! Diabetes and hypertension can be won!!! Once again, took me almost 8 years!!!! Make sure you see a good Doc and include all your Med records!

    I hope all of you fellow Desert Storm , Shield vets do not give up with diabetes, etc, once again see a VSO, file a claim, get enrolled with VA health care and appeall or file a NOD if you do not agree with C&P or VA dissicions! I was in the trenches with 3 ACR and saw it all, Scuds,etc,to include the blow up at you know where, helped down load the chem munitions, then saw the EOD blow it up from 2 Klicks away. Help take care of our own and the coverup on the front lines! What a bunch of crap! They were not there! Get involved with your local vets orgs and Politicains!

    Hi Carlton,

    Was just awarded a BVA claim for diabetes type 2 with high trigs. Please appeal to VA!!!!!!!!!!!
    This took 8 years, get a VSO!!!!!!!!! VFW, Amer Leg, DVA. Look for help!!! You will get it right takes years ! Still waiting on award might take another 6 months. haha An Old 1SG, Tanker,Cav Guy. Go to VA and get admitted to VHA and see a Doc !

    Keep fighting, I have an appeal dated since 2000, still at the board. Get all you can in records etc, do get involved with the VA medical side and keep your appts! Get a Gulf War exam! I seperated 1998 and have Diabetes type 2 with insulin, Go figure? A proud Gulf War vet! Get a VSO rep involved, never hire an Attorn. they just want your money! They want to know if you had diabetes at seperation or within one year!

  4. Set up a forum for the docs, let all docs treating us, have a stake in the research.
