1-800- PEGGY
Great idea if you could really find out any information from the 800 number. Many of the Operators are uncorteous and rude. This is probably from being treated that way also by a few vets. Also and I m very serious if you have a real question concerning your claim the only outlet is Ebenefits, 800 number or drive a few hours and ask the customer contact team and be told they don't have the manpower to find out because they can't leave the desk empty. Just think of the money and savings that we would have if we canned both useless systems. They were put out there to impress civilians with the great work that the VA has been doing. It is a step in a direction away from direct face to face. When the llack of two way communications occurs as the VA continues to pursuse problems will and do arise as can be noted here by the many posts. We NEED a real contact number fo people that can make a difference and that won't blow us off. So I ask VA what is the numbers to contact the adjudcator of a claim, the Office of the Inspector General, The Secrateries number? After all the buck stops with him. Lets have a transparent system that works for all and not just for a few.
