Y'all are the smartest dumb people I have ever seen !
Just pay everybody compensation who served there and call it a day.

You know being smart doesn't mean you have any wisdom behind that statement that you just made. If you are a veteran who served in any combat conflict, then you are eligible for some type of federal and or state benefits because you had earned them. There is a distinct difference between benefits earned and being eligible for them. As for the PGW veterans, the US Government thought that Iraq's Leader wanted the Saudi oil fields (Bushes oil fields??) that's why we were sent their in the first place. Then it changed to we need to help the Kuwaiti's because we will get something in return. I haven't been back to Kuwaiti City since 1991 when we pushed or should I say they ran back to their own Country. Yes, the PGW veterans do deserve justice just like any other war veteran, the only difference is that our Government can't make a simple decision on what is wrong with our PGW veterans and why. It's been 22 years since I left the Sand of Arabia and I'm not planning at all anytime soon to return there. All veterans need some type of help or assistance whatever you want to call it, but the bottom line is why does it take these type of issues 20 to 30 years later to do something that should have been done then. We as a Nation never learned our past involvement with wars or conflicts. We as a Nation CAN'T BE EVERYONE'S POLICE FORCE PERIOD. James K.
