    Unfortunately, those that have long left service can only hope a compassionate doctor to aid in the fight for the lacking evidence in our SMR. Those active service reading take note that the SMR must be documented properly to pave the way for a future VA claim. Do not suck up your illnesses or injuries. Document evetything. Keep copies of all your orders, keep in contact with past comrades if needed for evidence. Be sure while in active service be dure to see a specialist to diagnose all mefical problems snd discuss where, when and why is written in thd SMR. NEXUS, chronic 6 months, combat related war or training, all get in the records. Periodically check doctor notes and if not accurate go back and have it corrected.
